The Bomb Diffuser!

Imagine coming back from a lovely vacation. And as soon as you get out of the airport you are greeted by a guy dressed in a bomb-diffuser suite. Not because it might be halloween but because there might be a f*#@!ing bomb outside the airport..!
Yes that's what happened to me few days ago when I came back to Mumbai from Goa.

Mumbai seems to be a vacation spot for terrorist nowadays (hey! they need a break too, like all of us, from all that plotting, and do something destructive from time to time. You know the usual). It's been getting worse every year (train bombs are the thing of the past. There are people with guns coming in from the sea now) and all our government is doing is, putting more security restrictions on the common man (corrupt cops with more power). In the name of security the citizens are forced to go home after-hours.
Let's not forget about the fear, which is my main concern here. Where ever I go anywhere in the city or the country, there is fear. Even that day at the airport I know I was scared. My mind was playing all these destructive thoughts (I think of the worst sometimes. What! It keeps me vigilant).
Anyways, the cops told us it was nothing and that they were just being cautions (thank god!).

I have a few questions -
Why do we choose to live like this?
Why do people do this to each other?
How do we solve this?
Are those people (the terrorist) happy?
What do they want out of this?
What are they upset about?
(the age old questions).

Implementing more security restrictions is not the answer (it's not stopped any new attacks as we have seen).
Negotiating could be the answer if they learn to speak and not act. Nobody wants to be accepting and just live and let live. There has to be just one way, one path, one religion, one idea, one god and the rest is unacceptable. Well people of the world, life is not like that. We all have different minds, thoughts, ideas, even ethics and appearances. Because we are different (paradoxically). People need to understand this but they can't because they aren't taught how to do that (be accepting). It's been the idea, the thought in my mind but very few people seem to understand what I say or how I think (but I'm not upset it's all about living and let living. ACCEPTING the differences). They are all different paths to the same destination guys. I'm sorry I'm lecturing people who already understand this (I guess. I'm sure no terrorist is reading my blog).
But i know what we can do. We, the people, in general need to get smarter and more vigilant (damage control). It's a harsh reality we can't avoid these situations but we can prevent them.

For example - we see the hundreds of people who get injured during bomb explosions. But I'll tell you why that might happen. When there was a bomb diffuser at the airport, everyone went to see what he was doing to the unattended bag (people it could be a f@$#ing bomb move back!!). My friends got attracted to the scene like bugs to a light (idiots!!). I had to literally put some sense into them. But that's my point - people it's not a fucking (i cant hold back anymore) movie show!
Even during the taj attacks people came out on their balconies to see what was happening. Meanwhile, the terrorists were roaming the streets with guns, killing top police encounter specialists.

This is the kind of insensible decisions people make during such intense times. I hope I haven't scared anyone who is visiting India because it's not as intense as it sounds. I have lived here for 24 years and my parents even longer. I'm just saying it can happen anywhere and to anyone. All we can do is get smart and try to avoid some obvious threats. Stay safe!
